It's New Year's Eve.
Tomorrow is the New Year's Day.

I wish the coming year is filled with hope, right, dream, joy, and love.

I wish everyone finds his own spring deep in his mind and receives infinite energy from it.

I wish happiness spreads one by one, and eventually create a beautiful and bountiful world on earth.

And at last, I wish I can think like these in fifty years.

One More Day

Today is already 30th.
Tomorrow is the last day of this year.
And, actually, tomorrow's post is the last one for this blog too.

I've decided to stop posting from the day after tomorrow because I decided to study English from the basics (I mean, from pronunciation).
For a while, I'll concentrate on pronunciation, and then try reading many English books.
Then, when the time comes, I'll start writing again.

Tomorrow, I'll write a prayer for the coming year, and finishes with my real name.
I also decided to change the comment setting on the New Year's Day.

Quite Useful

Few hours ago, I was making a letter sized - Monday start - four months calendar.
It's quite useful.

(All lines should have the same thickness, but when I made it in JPG image, some lines were thickened. It's a computer mystery.)

Snow

We have snow today again.
It's unusual...
Usually, Victoria doesn't have snow more than 3 times a winter, and the snow usually melt away within a week, but this winter, the first snow have not melted yet.
It is unusual......

Anyway

I finally translated a course outline (Math) that I took in the University of Ryukyus.
The University of Victoria sent me the request of this course outline last July (!), but I haven't translated it in English. (I got the original Japanese documents in September.)

It is needed for unit transferring, but since I made them wait almost half a year and also the course is almost the same as the one I took in the first year in UVic, this transferring may not accepted.
But anyway, I'll bring it to UVic next Tuesday.

I Love Flying

I watched the DVD "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" that I borrowed from a friend.
I really really want to fly the glider she uses!

(I read the comic books, but haven't watched the movie.)

Eat Chocolate and Study

I have another final tomorrow.
This is for the course called "Classical Mechanics," and I've found that it's more difficult than the course I finished on Monday.

The final starts at 9:00 am, but I haven't understood the contents clearly...
Oh, well.
I'll eat chocolate and study a bit more.

A Small Prayer

The course I finished yesterday is called 'thermodynamics (an area of physics).'
This course was like a puzzle ring, and I could only solve two problems out of six.
But I hope I pass the course...

Not Bad At All

I have a final test today from 7:00 pm.

Right now, we have very very beautiful blue sky, but the temperature is -4°C (23F) and the wind is 30km/h. Tonight, the lowest temperature is said to be like -8°C (19F).

In this time of the year, the sun sets around 4:00 pm, so 6:00 pm is already dark.

But because the final starts at 7:00 pm, I could take the above pictures (the ice formed inside of my room), could eat miso soup for branch, and could write this long post.

Also, strong wind with blue sky is much much better than snowstorm.
I just checked the weather forecast in Toronto which says that they have cloudy sky with 42 km/h of wind (Wind gust is 58 km/h) . The temperature is almost the same, but the wind is as strong as typhoon...

I feel my situation is not bad at all compared to them.

First Snow

First snow.

And right now, I hear strong wind blow which is clearing the sky.

I guess that this is the largest reason for creating an organization such as a company.

If the person doesn't seem to understand my words, then I can only say something shallow.

But I know that this happens only because I haven't found the perfect words for the person.

Fear is always coming from a mind.
You feel the fear because you have a mind.

But courage is also originated from a mind.
You can use it to surpass the fear.

The mind has everything, so you can choose what you want to feel.

The Habit

I usually don't do assignments early, and do them just before the time is up.
And so I usually cannot sleep on the day before the due date.

This isn't good.
Thus, I decided to develop the habit of finish assignments early and sleep more.
It may take time to develop this habit, but if I try little by little, I believe I can have more leeway and enjoy it.

From a Double Decker Bus

The leaves of most deciduous trees already fell, and there is a lot of rain this time.
It's December.

But recently, I found new buds on the trees, and it made me to imagine the season in four months.

Everyday Life

One day, I'm in a haste. Another day, I relax and do nothing.
The other day, I regret myself and in a different day, I praise myself.

It's just what we call "everyday life."

Today I ate "Sukiyaki," but because I forgot to buy a Chinese cabbage, the one I made was less veggies than normal.
